In the foothills of the Himalayas, the Daphne plant locally known as "Lokta" grows in abundance at altitudes over 6500 feet. Our Nepalese paper is made from the bark of the Lokta plant. Removing only the bark from the Lokta actually promotes new growth and is beneficial to he the plant. The controlled harvest of the Lokta ensures a sustainable and ECO-FRIENDLY paper making process.
The natural product is 100% HANDMADE using local raw material, simple technology and anicent Skills. The products are made by WOMEN CO-OPERATIVES and Small Cottage Industry in Nepal and employs mostly women
